Leaping Spoonkick From Hell

Following Entertainmania and Death By Diamond Cutter, RWL returned with the brilliantly named Leaping Spoonkick From Hell.

The recorded era was still in its infancy, but some of RWL’s first recurring rivalries, characters and ideas were already beginning to take shape.

This show also marked a change for Corey Carver, who from this point would compete under the name CorZ, before eventually becoming known as Valo later in RWL’s history.

[lfp] vs R*WL

The main event saw two of RWL’s early teams collide as [lfp] faced R*WL in a Hardcore Tag Team Match.

Representing [lfp] were CorZ and “Cyanide” Danny Cooper, while The Sentinel and Nixy Nix joined forces under the R*WL banner.

The match would also produce a couple of firsts that would become considerably more familiar as RWL’s history continued.

For the first time, a light tube was used as a weapon in RWL, with Nixy smashing one across CorZ during the match.

It was also the setting for the first of what would become a fairly regular sight in CorZ matches: a big dive from somewhere he probably shouldn’t have been standing in the first place.

This time, CorZ climbed a staircase on the outside of the house before launching himself from it onto his opponents below.

It wouldn’t be the last time.

One More Time

After their first encounter at RWL Entertainmania, Hyogo Kantai returned for another opportunity at Jayyy and the RWL Championship.

At Entertainmania, Kantai had stepped into the main event against Jayyy during RWL’s first recorded show. Now, just a short time later, the masked Japanese Superstar was back for another shot at the champion.

Behind the mask, Hyogo Kantai was CorZ, continuing the early RWL tradition of using masks and alter egos to make the most of the limited roster available.

Back to Watson’s Lounge

Apparently learning absolutely nothing from the first edition, Adam Watson brought back Watson’s Lounge.

This time, his special guest was Project S20.

And, once again, Watson’s Lounge didn’t remain a talk show for very long.

Things broke down between host and guest, eventually leading to Watson and Project S20 facing each other in the ring.

It was quickly becoming apparent that inviting somebody onto Watson’s Lounge was a fairly reliable way of ending up wrestling them.

Double Duty

Nixy Nix had considerably more than the main event to worry about.

Living up to the nickname “Cpt Double Duty”, Nixy also put the RWL International Championship on the line against Spyke, before later returning to represent R*WL alongside The Sentinel in the Hardcore Tag Team main event.

Schitzu’s Problems Continue

After an already disastrous time at Death By Diamond Cutter, Teh Gr8 Schitzu returned to face Adam Watson.

Unfortunately for Schitzu, simply having one opponent wasn’t going to be the extent of his problems.

The match featured multiple appearances from Teh Gr8 Phuka-U and Project S20, with the developing rivalry between the masked brothers continuing to follow Schitzu into another RWL show.

What had begun with Phuka-U appearing after Schitzu’s defeat to Cyanide at Death By Diamond Cutter was already developing into something much harder for either brother to escape.

Championship rematches, another doomed Watson’s Lounge, a light tube, a dive from the side of a house and the continuing misfortune of Teh Gr8 Schitzu. Three shows in, RWL was already finding its own particular brand of chaos.
